Pathway Breaks Ground Today
The long awaited pathway from Moose Hill School continuing in one strip to the Londonderry Middle school started clearing fresh earth from the Orchards located near the entrance to the Kindergarten. This pathway was originated in 2001 with a request for a grant to construct a multi-use pathway. Londonderry Trailways, Sandy Lagueux and the Town of Londonderry obtained a CMAQ (Congestion Mitigation Air Quality) grant to help fund the project. The project was approved for $100,000 in design work at the 2004 town meeting and $498,000 for construction at the 2005 town meeting. A large portion of the funding came from the federal grant, the rest from the Taxpayers approved at Town Meetings.
