At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Windham Fire Department was called to 11 Rockingham Road for a reported building fire. The fire in the commercial wood frame structure quickly reached two alarms. When the first crews arrived there was heavy fire coming from the building. Windham requested mutual aid from the town of Londonderry and they responded with a medic, engine, and command car. The fire was reported to have started from a worker inside the building, who received first degree burns to his face and was transported by the Londonderry medic crew. The bulk of the fire damage was contained near the point of origin and minor damage was caused to the neighboring businesses. At around 9:30 a.m. the fire was under control. Building inspectors remained on scene to inspect the structure.
